Narrow corridors – create a unique relief on their walls and ceilings
A common problem is a narrow and long corridor, which is not so easy to fill, so that it does not remain just an ordinary rectangle with a door. It is often difficult to integrate, for example, a wardrobe or an armchair into such a corridor, because these pieces of furniture would take up half of the space and would obstruct the passage. In order to solve the problem of a boring, long corridor, wall decoration is a great help. Here are some ideas on how wall decor elements visually fill empty space, provide a unique relief, and create a “Wow” effect when you enter the door.
The ceiling visually becomes higher and lighter by installing a stretch ceiling, and along the perimeter – hidden LED lighting, which is beautifully framed by ceiling decorative strips. This gives the space depth and refined luxury. In order to visually expand the space of a narrow corridor, large mirrors are skillfully used, and they are framed with wall decoration strips:
PCR-6003-2 – decorative corner for framing mirrors
PCR-6003 – embossed wall strip for framing mirrors
SK-4010 – skirting board
The photos on the right show all the decorative elements, painted in white according to the interior style, which gives the space an impression of aesthetic lightness. The following elements were used for interior decor:
PCR-6048 – wide wall strip dividing the wall into the upper and lower zones.
PCR-6077 – wall strip – outer panel frame.
PCR-6064 – narrowest wall strip – inner panel frame.
CR-5062-2 – decorative flower for walls.
SK-4007 – skirting board.
The photo on the right shows the division of the walls into two zones. The upper zone is painted in a soft cocoa color, and the lower zone is paneled with narrow stripes. All these elements, from the ceiling and wide strips, door and niche borders to the skirting boards, are painted white. The elements used for this decor:
PCN-2111 – a capital formed from the ceiling strip above the door and a frame around the ceiling.
PCN-2046 – a capital formed from the ceiling strip above the niche.
SK-4015 – skirting board.
In the interior shown on the left, the entire wall surface is painted in a soft yellowish color, and all the decorative elements – ceiling walls, wide and narrow wall strips, door trims and baseboards – are painted in white with a light yellowish tone. Such walls seem to radiate warmth and luxury.
PCR-6300 – wide wall strip-trim for doors.
F-PCR-6300 – flexible strip for the curved upper arch of the door.
SK-4016 – baseboard.
