The subtleties of creating wall decor

1. The process begins with measuring and planning the wall. Once you have a vision of the decor you want, you can calculate how many meters of strips you will need and how many additional decorative details you will need. Mark the future locations where the strips will be glued on the wall with a pencil so that you do not deviate from the desired result.
2. Then cut the strips to the appropriate lengths and attach them to the wall with glue. Apply the glue sparingly, not too close to the edge of the strip. The most important thing when forming frames (panels) on the wall is to maintain equal spacing between the formed frames. The strips can also be additionally secured with special nails, fastening them not too close to the corners where the strips meet, so that you can properly align the overlapping strips. While the glue is drying, it is worth securing the strips at the joints with pins – this will keep your frame in place and prevent it from expanding as the glue dries.
3. The day after gluing the strips, cosmetic work – filling and painting – is carried out. The joints should be filled, and then the filled areas should be sanded.
4. Then you can start painting, for which it is especially important to use protective strips – after all, you don’t want to have to repaint the walls after forming the frames.
5. After painting, all that’s left to do is enjoy the result!
